Who says satan is ugly?

“Wicked look, triangular-end tail, burning red eyes, scorching body, and thunderous laugh. In other words “Diabolic”.

These are what comes into our mind whenever we hear of the famous name SATAN. But is it really what he looks like?

As our human nature, we tend to commit mistakes every now and then. We are not strong enough to keep ourselves from sin. Right now, you’re probably thinking of Satan and blaming it all to him. Hmmmmm…. how come such an ugly creature always succeed on tempting us?

You’re thinking that Satan is just that ugly, you’re WRONG. Satan comes in different forms: power, wealth, fame, vanity and anything that is pleasurable to us. Otherwise he can’t just simply beat us over if he’s not that enticing at all. We live our life believing that we haven’t done anything wrong at all but we are actually being tricked unconsciously. If Satan is really ugly, then he couldn’t be a temptation to us.

Fame triggers a man to cheat. Vanity induces superiority. Power drives a man to kill. Wealth pushes man to steal.

Everything from Satan is what drives a person want more, enough to forget the borderline between faith and sin. He is not really powerful but clever enough to attack us on our weaknesses. And we? We need not to be very powerful either. We just have to be wiser that him.

The beauty that Satan shows is what makes us hunger for more. It’s what makes human have no satisfaction at all. Satan just knows what’s easy and convenient, which is the reason why people refuse to see that it’s actually wrong.

Satan is those beautiful women when you are married. He is that tempting notebook on your bag during exams taken unprepared. Satan is that beautiful dress hung in a shop when your wallet is empty. He is that textmate of yours when your phone says “Check Operator Services”. He is the tempting coins inside your siblings coin bank. He may be your seductive girlfriend when there’s only the two of you. Satan transforms more than your favorite movie character Optimus Prime can. Funny isn’t it? So have you encountered Satan today? How was your meeting then?

Satan’s appearance is beautiful yet deceptive. He appeals to everyone. He is in the form of everything that we desire. He has the glow that blinds us of other important things to see. He is just too treacherous.

Now, have a deeper thought. Does Satan really look ugly? The answer is obviously a sounding NO. He is actually beautiful enough to deceive everyone in this world who are not wise enough to see through his deceptions. Stay close to God and always have faith in him, because with him we are wise enough to stay away from Satan’s temptations.
